Endometrial cancer is the most common gynecological malignancy worldwide, primarily affecting postmenopausal women. Its annual incidence in developed countries varies between 15-25 per 100,000 women and approximately 8600 new diagnoses are made each year. It gives early findings. 95% of endometrial cancers are seen over the age of 40, 75% are postmenopausal, 25% are premenopausal. It is surgically staged. In 2009, the FIGO staging system was updated. Primary treatment for endometrial cancer is sampling with peritoneal lavage, total abdominal hysterectomy, bilateral salphingoopherectomy, plus pelvic paraaortic lymph node dissection and omental sampling. An average of 75-80% of patients apply to a physician with FIGO (international federation of gynecology and obstetrics) stage 1 disease, the most common symptom is bleeding, the average 5-year survival of these patients is between 80-90% and the recurrence rate is between 4-8%.
