Synopsis
Anxiety is an important psychological factor that affects the performance of athletes. Often described as a negative emotion, anxiety has the potential to have a positive impact on performance when managed appropriately. Anxiety is an element that can directly affect the athlete's self-confidence; Because high levels of anxiety can cause a loss of self-confidence by undermining the belief of athletes in their skills. This situation can disrupt the mental and physical balance of the athletes and cause doubts about achieving the goals. Based on all these, as a result in the current section; It can be said that anxiety is an important factor affecting the self-confidence and performance of athletes. Athletes who can manage anxiety correctly can turn this feeling into a source of motivation and strengthen their self-confidence by performing at a higher level.
