It is an accepted view that digital transformation has become a critical force in the logistics industry, especially in terms of efficiency, agility and competitiveness. With the integration of advanced digital technologies, logistics operations have been reshaped and service quality has increased. This transformation is not only technological, but also leads to changes and developments in organizational cultures and business models. However, as in every innovation process, the digital transformation process also comes with challenges. In a sector such as logistics, where competition is intense and complex, these challenges are more evident and difficult to overcome. For this reason, understanding the effects of digital transformation on the operational efficiency of companies, the challenges and success factors encountered in the digital transformation process is vital on the road to success. For this purpose, one-to-one semi-structured interviews were conducted with the participants of 8 enterprises operating in the logistics sector. In line with the findings analyzed with qualitative research design, the main gains of digital transformation on operational efficiency are acceleration of processes, reduction in error rates and cost reduction. The main challenges in the digital transformation process are cultural resistance, technological integration difficulties and budget limitations. The study is important in terms of revealing the outputs of digital transformation processes in the logistics sector. The strategies implemented by companies to overcome these difficulties are stated as organizing training programs, effective change management and gradual digitalization process. In line with the findings obtained, strategies and suggestions for practitioners are given at the end of the study.
