Synopsis
Sports education cannot be limited to the coding of these activities and information by the student only by having the student practice physical activities. Using various educational models that include many parameters will make many contributions to the organization and practice of education and training activities. For this reason, the "Sports Education Model", which includes both pedagogical and psychological components, has become one of the most used models in sports education due to its positive contributions. In this section, the sports education model and the way it is applied and the advantages it will provide to the practitioner are emphasized. The problems that lead to the emergence of the sports education model and recommendations for the elimination of these problems are presented to the practitioner. In the sports education model, in which teachers and students take on various roles, students develop their sports skills, knowledge of rules and affective development through games, and enable students to learn to follow sports etiquette by participating in sports competitions. The model contributes to the student's physical development as well as pedagogically and psychologically. Physical education teachers can contribute to the versatile development of students by using this model.
