Analytical Studies on Performance in Training Science.
Synopsis
This study aims to examine footwork techniques in badminton and provide recommendations to enhance players' footwork performance. Badminton is a dynamic sport that requires speed, strategy, and precise early positioning. In this discipline, players' on-court movement skills and correct footwork techniques are among the most critical factors determining match performance. Footwork techniques play a crucial role in enabling players to respond quickly and effectively in both offensive and defensive situations. Techniques such as the "split-step," "lunge," and "chasse-step" are particularly effective in helping players reach the shuttlecock in time and position themselves early. To develop footwork techniques, training methods such as plyometric exercises, reaction drills, and video analysis are recommended. The court numbering system facilitates rapid and efficient movement to different areas of the court, making training sessions more productive. In conclusion, the development of footwork techniques is one of the most critical factors for badminton players to achieve their desired performance levels.
