Synopsis
Exercise is an integral part of a healthy lifestyle and is a structured form of activity where physical activity is done regularly. This can help individuals stay physically fit, maintain their health and protect them from a number of health problems. Humanity's desire for a quality and pain-free life is increasing day by day. Despite this increasing desire, technology reduces the intensity of daily movement of people. Today, education and work life, lifestyle and mental states can have many negative effects in terms of posture. Problems in posture, if they become chronic in the future, cause pain and some musculoskeletal diseases. Research on posture correction is gaining importance day by day. Techniques that strengthen the relationship between the body and the mind are also used in exercises performed to correct posture. Pilates exercises, in which these techniques are also applied, were developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s and started to be used by physiotherapists in the 2000s for various diseases.
