Synopsis
Personality is often confused with the concepts of character and temperament, and is often used interchangeably in daily life. It states that personality covers more general behavioral patterns. Temperament and character can be defined more specifically than personality, and their differences can be revealed. This difference can be explained by the psychobiological personality model, which considers temperament and character together. Although personality is seen as a stable process, relatively differentiation can be observed in the course of life and is formed by the influence of many factors. One of the most obvious basic themes of personality research is to determine the personality traits associated with successful athletic performances. Previous studies have linked personality to successful results in the workplace, academics and physical activity. Both conscientiousness and neuroticism traits have been found to be associated with desired outcomes. Personality manages the capacity and desire to perform, which are the basic components of a person's success in business or education, and it is believed that sports success is due to a degree of a person's capacity and desire to perform.
