Synopsis
In the rapidly developing and changing world, the concept of Globalization is at the center of the processes experienced. One of the concepts that gained ground in the international system where significant changes were experienced in the field of security after the end of the Cold War is the concept of Terrorism. The terrorist attacks in the USA on September 11, 2001 are considered one of the most important events of the 21st century. The reason why these attacks are considered one of the important events of history is that they took place in the USA, which became the sole superpower in the unipolar world with the collapse of the Soviets. The aim of the study is to reveal the impact of the globalization of terrorism and the September 11, 2001 attacks on US foreign policy. As a result of the study, significant changes in US foreign policy after 2001 have been revealed. While the USA, which pursued policies to combat terrorism, lost prestige and power on the one hand, it tried to maintain its power with security-based policies on the other. With the rising voices in the world in response to US foreign policy, it has been understood that a new world order is being formed.
