Winter Sports Theses
Synopsis
This scientific book titled “Winter Sports Theses” consists of master's, medical specialization, and doctoral theses on winter sports in the National Thesis Center affiliated with the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education. The mega sports activity associated with winter sports is the Winter Olympic Games. The Winter Olympics are classified as snow, ice, and sled sports. This classification regarding the Winter Olympics was used as a theoretical framework when dividing the theses into themes in the book. However, during the scanning period, it was found that some theses were directly and indirectly tied to the Winter Olympic Games. Since the book attempted to cover all aspects of winter sports, it was decided to include theses on sports facilities, winter tourism, and Winter Olympic games in addition to the Olympic winter sports of snow sports, ice sports, and sled sports. As a result, after a comprehensive six-month work, the book consisted of 6 (six) chapters containing theses on winter sports. The book is the first scientific book to include all current theses on winter sports, and it is a unique and comprehensive example compared to other bibliometric studies in the literature. The book is expected to make it easier for researchers to obtain theses about winter sports on a topical level. In this context, it is hoped that it will benefit bachelor's, master's, and doctorate students, as well as any sports scientists interested in contributing to the scientific and academic advancement of winter sports.
