Synopsis
This study examines the evaluation of secondary data for financial analysis, specifically focusing on the digital banking sector, using illustrative global and Turkish examples. The data were obtained through the Statista application and presented in excel and graphical formats. The research encompasses a detailed evaluation of trends from 2013 to 2027, including current and projected digital payment systems worldwide, the growing number of digital banking users, the online banking penetration rates by country in 2023, global mobile POS payment rates, and the distribution of POS and e-commerce usage across different regions. Moreover, the study highlights the share of POS transaction volumes by region, annual net interest income from digital banking, and changes in customer deposit values over the years.
In conclusion, the analysis of secondary data reveals the global growth trajectory of the digital banking sector and its correlation with regional differences and economic indicators. This study serves as a valuable resource for researchers and industry professionals seeking to assess the impact of digitalization on the financial sector. It underscores the importance of effectively analyzing secondary data to enhance strategic decision-making processes.
