Synopsis

What makes water so important is that it is a vital substance that cannot be substituted for humans. It is for this reason that the qualitative and quantitative problems occurring in water resources today have made it an important element of today's environmental problems discussions. Water resources are limited and exposed to many negative human-induced impacts. Water crises are becoming more and more threatening to humanity and other environmental components every day. While mankind, advancing in science and technology, was once capable of bringing water to every settlement it established, it has started to be discussed whether there is a water source that can be taken in today's world. In our study, descriptive survey method was used. This method was used since it is considered to describe and interpret the studies on the role of the hydrological cycle in the ecosystem in detail. In this context, studies conducted in different educational levels or non-governmental organisations in the world and in Turkey were scanned.
