This study includes the examination and evaluation of postgraduate theses in the field of combat sports in Turkey between 2018 and 2024 based on data from the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). The place of combat sports in the academic field, its effects on healthy life and its social contributions are emphasized. The high number of master's theses shows that this field is academically young and more research is needed. It is stated that quantitative approaches are prominent in research methods, but qualitative methods are also important. The positive effects of combat sports on the physical, psychological and social development of individuals increase the importance of research in this field. Suggestions for future studies include interdisciplinary approaches, encouraging qualitative research and increasing female participation. These recommendations aim to increase societal contributions by deepening research in combat sports.
