Synopsis
This study explores the basics of cyber security, current threats, protection methods, open‑source software, artificial intelligence applications, and trend analyses. It highlights the importance of open‑source tools like Keycloak, PacketFence, Wazuh, OPNsense, Coroza, and OpenCTI in security strategies, as well as frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP, and NIST. Artificial intelligence is used for both defensive and offensive purposes, with potential in threat detection, anomaly analysis, and automatic response systems. AI-supported training programs enhance the effectiveness of firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAF). However, the study also discusses the potential for abuse, such as social engineering attacks, password cracking, and deepfakes. Cybersecurity trend analyses are performed using Python Pytrends library and Google Trends data, and the TF-IDF method is used to determine and visualize important cybersecurity trends. The study also discusses the potential effects of autonomous cybersecurity systems, quantum cryptography, and privacy-enhancing technologies. The study also examines the role of security compliance management and the potential effects of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the future.
