Synopsis

Agricultural land fragmentation is the most important structural problem in Türkiye. The aim of this study is to identify generally the causes and effects of farmland fragmentation, the development of farmland fragmentation in Türkiye, the legislative status to prevent farmland fragmentation and the measures to be taken. Despite the legal regulations, the process of agricultural land fragmentation continues in practice. In addition to the effective implementation of the legislation to prevent the fragmentation of agricultural land and the transfer of agricultural land, the necessary financial resources to support these practices should be included in the budget and used according to their purpose.
