Synopsis
As it is known, the territory of the Shirvan country has very important economic, strategic and economic value. At the same time, the lands of this country were located in the north of the Hülâgüler State, within the borders of the Golden Horde State. Accordingly, the lands of Shirvan became the arena of the ongoing offensive wars for the invasion of the two Mongolian states. When the lands belonging to the Hülâgüler State fell into the hands of the Shepherd Emirs, the Shirvan province was under the control of Sheikh Mahmud, son of Emir Shepherd. After Sultan Ebu Said Çobani eliminated the notables of his emirate, he divided his country among his loyal amirs in 1328. Although the sources do not give specific information about the participation of the Shirvan ayans in the inter-feudal struggles, it should be said that Shirvan has always been the center of the struggles, formed the foundations of the struggle of the Azerbaijani people for freedom, and as a result, in the XIV. In the first half of the century, it operated almost like an independent state.
