Synopsis

Green energy obtained from renewable energy sources has become the key to fundamental transformation policies in energy supply based on traditional fossil fuels for today's gray economies. Renewable energy, which started to flourish after the oil crisis in the 1970s, gained new momentum in the fight against climate change in the 2000s, and after the Kyoto and Paris Agreements, a strong will emerged in the use of green energy potential for the EU and Türkiye, as well as for the whole world. It will be possible for the EU and Türkiye, which have a high dependence on imports for their energy needs, to provide safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable energy supply and to achieve their emission reduction targets within the scope of combating climate change with the green energy transformation they will realize in the field of renewable energy. In this context, in the study; The application results on the policy and implementation of green energy between EU, wich with the European Green Consensus, embodying its intention to be a leader in the fight against climate change, announcing its goal of transforming the European continent into the first climate-neutral continent in 2050, and Türkiye, which conducts the full membership negotiation process and announced its 2053 net zero emission target,  were analyzed and the degree of compliance in terms of the current situation was investigated.
