Since the 1990s, in parallel with technological developments, the change in the perspective of freight/passenger transfer in line with human needs and the development in the processes have revealed the need to handle many actions under the concept of logistics much more carefully. With this requirement, it is seen that the diversity of logistics activities can be examined at a wide range of levels with different approaches day by day and these examinations will benefit the literature and sectoral activities. It has been understood that the logistics sector, which has the power to facilitate human life as well as to eliminate the effects of events that occur at different times around the world and cause negative effects, has a point that is impossible to ignore. Especially natural disasters and increasing human population have made it necessary to contact current approaches in logistics activities and carry out actions that facilitate the processes. Based on this, this study discussed last mile delivery, which is easily used for human needs in the current period, humanitarian logistics, which aims to reduce or eliminate the effects of disasters, and urban logistics, which aims to optimize the increasing crowd of people and vehicles in urban life. The purpose of the study is to contribute to the literature and benefit future studies.
