Synopsis

The Covid-19 pandemic has deeply affected economic and social life in Turkey, like all over the world. In order to prevent the spread of the pandemic, various precautions were taken to restrict social life, and as a result, manufacturing came to a standstill in many sectors. Thus, labor markets were also adversely affected by this crisis, and it became necessary to take action in many fields such as unemployment, employment and salaries. This chapter, titled as Employment Policies During the Pandemic in Turkey (2020-2022), includes social protection policies taken to compensate for problems such as employment decline and income losses in labor markets.
