Synopsis

The developing technology in recent years has at the same time contributed to the development of trade, expanded the business volume and allowed the goods and services produced to reach more audiences. In this context, e-commerce has provided businesses with the opportunity to reach a wide customer base and to open up to global markets by removing geographical boundaries. It has also improved the shopping experience by offering consumers more choice, easier comparison and more affordable prices.

While e-commerce contributes to business profitability and sales increase, it also has help to reduce costs. While the operating costs of physical stores can be high due to factors such as rent, personnel expenses and inventory management, e-commerce businesses can often save on these costs. At the same time, businesses within the scope of e-commerce have the potential to sell on online platforms with various sales models. The broad concept structure, new business models and innovations that can be used in almost every sector constantly expand the scope of e-commerce. In line with technological developments and user expectations, e-commerce companies are constantly renewing themselves and working to provide customers with a better experience. In line with the explanations made, in this study, it has been tried to give information about the past, present and future of e-commerce, what consumers expect in the future and which commercial technological developments are expected.
