Synopsis

The sense of competition inherent in human nature seems to be one step more prominent in racket sports. Looking at the number of racket sports, it can be said that there are quite a lot of them. In this study, 28 officially recorded racket sports are discussed. It is also known that there are other racket sports that are not officially recognized. There are still official or unofficial tournaments in Europe in which racket sports are combined and 5 racket sports are mixed together.

The physiological and psychological physical demands of almost all racket sports are the same. The requirements for performance are high aerobic capacity and anaerobic abilities such as strength, agility and speed. However, racquet sports are also practiced for recreational and leisure purposes. Performance-oriented activities are combined with scientific training, competition and post-competition recovery methods. This allows racquet athletes to become faster and stronger athletes and to develop skills such as stroke speed, coordination and balance.
