Synopsis
Eco-recreation is a concept where nature-based activities are done in people's spare time for the purpose of resting, having fun and interacting with nature. These activities are carried out in natural areas and aim to benefit from natural resources. Rafting tourism, on the other hand, is a sportive activity that includes the element of adventure on rivers with inflatable boats called raft. When eco-recreation and rafting tourism come together, the idea of doing sports in harmony with nature and protecting natural areas comes to the fore. This type of tourism allows nature lovers to discover natural beauties, have an exciting activity using natural water resources, and also contribute to the protection of natural areas. This type of tourism also contributes to the economic development of the visited regions. In addition to all these, eco-recreation and rafting tourism should be managed in accordance with the principle of sustainability. Eco-recreation and rafting tourism is considered to be a very good option for people who like to interact with nature and have exciting experiences, who like to be intertwined with nature. When rafting tourism is managed in accordance with the principles of protection of natural areas, economic development and sustainability, it not only provides an unforgettable experience to the individuals participating in the event, but also contributes to the protection of the natural environment.
