Synopsis
It’s a fact that in today's organizations where the importance of producing and using knowledge is increasing gradually, individuals having developed in terms of knowledge, skills and expertise have become valuable resources for organizations. Yet, the rapidly changing competitive conditions, strong impact of globalization and developments in information technology make it necessary to focus on human resources as well as organizational processes and systems in all sectors. Because the most important factor which puts organizations ahead in the race of strict competition and provides superiority to the organization in sustainability is the human resources of the organization, namely its intellectual capital. Therefore, in order to keep up with scientific developments and produce new technologies, organizations have to use human resources effectively and increase their competitiveness. Accordingly, organizations should attach importance to investing more in developing and managing their intellectual capital. Thus, the success and sustainability of the organization will be ensured by providing an effective and efficient intellectual capital management.
