The aim of this study is to reveal the financial status of the activities of the companies in the IT sector in the BIST for the years 2018-2022, that is, the last 5 years, in comparison with the TOPSIS and COPRAS method.

For this purpose, the first 15 companies in the IT sector, which are in the best condition in terms of financial performance, out of a total of 29 companies operating in the BIST, were examined. The last 5 years data of the companies examined were taken from the website www.kap.org.tr. In the study, the data of the companies for 2023, the year in which the application was carried out, were excluded from the examination since the activity period has not been completed yet. The information obtained was analyzed by TOPSIS and COPRAS methods, and the performance of the companies was analyzed on a yearly basis, and the average of the last 5 years' financial ratios was calculated by comparing them among themselves.

When the results of the financial performance analyzes performed with both TOPSIS and COPRAS methods are followed in the study, we can say that the performances of the companies on the basis of years give parallel results in both methods. Apart from these data, it can be said that differences such as choosing different date ranges to be taken as a basis in different studies, changing the preferred monetary resource rates, keeping the value attributed to the criteria different, changing the analysis method to be preferred may yield results that may change the performance order.
