Synopsis
The energy sector is undergoing a significant transformation driven by the increasingly central role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the digital revolution. This transformation leads to radical developments in key functions such as energy production, distribution, and management. AI's application in the energy sector plays a crucial role in critical areas such as data analysis, energy demand forecasting, improving energy efficiency, and infrastructure management. Artificial intelligence techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, artificial neural networks, expert systems, genetic algorithms, and fuzzy logic, enhance energy efficiency, optimize energy consumption, and better manage infrastructure in an environment characterized by high data density. However, the digital transformation of the energy sector faces several challenges. These challenges include concerns about security, the complexity of managing large volumes of data, and the incompatibility of existing infrastructure. These obstacles may hinder the effective implementation of AI technologies. Therefore, overcoming these challenges and building a more sustainable, efficient, and secure energy future is paramount. The energy sector's digital transformation is rapidly advancing under the guidance of artificial intelligence, and the impact of these technologies is expected to increase. This process will assist the energy sector in maintaining energy production and management more efficiently, sustainably, and securely. This study examined how new technologies, especially artificial intelligence, influence the energy sector's digital transformation. The study first addresses artificial intelligence's definition, history, scope, and fundamental principles in this context. Subsequently, the focus shifts to the digital transformation process of the energy sector, the challenges it faces, and the role of artificial intelligence in the digital transformation of the energy sector. The final section presents the study's conclusions and overall assessments.
