Synopsis

The aim of this study is to evaluate how digitalized customs regulations during the Covid-19 pandemic have impacted operational processes in foreign trade. To achieve this, a research based on interviews was conducted with customs brokers and foreign trade experts working with customs in the Marmara region. The findings are intended to contribute to the identification of potential areas for improvement, considering both the positive and negative aspects of the new situation in customs and organizations.

In the study, customs, customs processes, and the concept of digitalization in customs were initially explained from a technical perspective. A literature review was then conducted. The next section presents the methodology and research findings. The general conclusion of the investigation indicates that digitalization has positively influenced customs processes. In the final section, recommendations are provided to facilitate the needs of government institutions and professionals in the foreign trade sector.
