Synopsis

Respiratory tract infections are one of the important infections that affect people of all ages from past to present. Lower respiratory tract infections may be of viral and bacterial origin with involvement in the air conduction tract and lungs. Many varieties that have caused the death of many people in the past have turned into pandemics and epidemics. Many factors such as socioeconomic conditions, climatic conditions, rate and speed of resistance gain have been effective in the treatment of infections. Tuberculosis is one of the oldest types of lower respiratory tract infections. Another disease that follows tuberculosis is pneumonia. Again, pneumonia, which is especially involved in the lungs, is one of the infections that require hospitalization. Like other infections, it is difficult to diagnose and radiological findings need to be examined. In addition, the classification of the disease can be made in many respects. The most common form of classification is classification according to the transmission environment of the disease. While transmission from the community, the hospital or ventilation can occur, immunity is suppressed; It is also frequently seen in people who are undergoing cancer treatment, such as patients who have undergone organ transplantation or who have AIDS disease. Other infections are bronchitis, bronchiolitis and acute-chronic forms of these infections. Depending on the pathogen, the age of the patient, the environment in which he lives, supportive treatment as well as antibiotic treatment may be sufficient. In the treatment of these diseases, more efficient results can be obtained in a shorter time with pathogen-specific treatments instead of broad spectrum. Respiratory tract infections are one of the serious diseases that should be given importance with supportive treatment and drug treatment.
