The Nationalist Movement Party plays an important role in understanding the basic principles and essence of right-wing thought in Turkish political life. In order to reveal the founding purpose of the Nationalist Movement Party, the Republican Peasant Nation Party must first be analyzed. The fact that the idea of Turkish nationalism could be represented both politically and ideologically institutionally in the CKMP and then the MHP brought with it the need to spread to communities. Türkeş, who carried the CKMP to an ideological ground, brought the concept of idealism to the forefront in the formation of the intellectual movements of the MHP with its name changed after he became the General President and made the MHP an important actor in terms of Turkish political life in this process. It can be stated that Alparslan Türkeş's views were largely influential in the emergence of the MHP's ideological understanding. This study was conducted in order to draw the conceptual framework of the ideology of the MHP, to reveal the influence of Alparslan Türkeş on the party and to examine the intellectual movements that were effective in the formation of the party. In this context, the influence of Alparslan Türkeş on the Nationalist Movement Party, which is seen as one of the important political movements in the development process of the idea of nationalism in Turkey, was revealed by analyzing the intellectual movements between 1965-1980. Within the scope of the study; the historical process, organizational and ideological change from the Republican Peasant Nation Party to the Nationalist Movement Party, the “Doctrine of Nine Lights” within the framework of Alparslan Türkeş's national vision, the intellectual movements of the MHP and the nationalist front governments were examined. In the study, qualitative data collection technique was used and the information obtained as a result of literature review was utilized. It was observed that the MHP's ideological line has changed over time. In Turkish political life, it has been observed that the association of the party name with the leader and the loyalty to the leader are effective on the establishment and development of the party movement.
