Synopsis
With the digitalization of healthcare services, individuals' ability to access, understand, evaluate, and utilize health information has made not only health literacy but also digital health literacy a necessity. The medical secretarial profession serves as a bridge between patients and the healthcare system, and the literacy level of secretaries directly affects the quality of healthcare services. In today’s healthcare environment dominated by digital technologies, medical secretarial education has evolved beyond traditional knowledge delivery and is increasingly supported by digital competencies. This study evaluates the transition from health literacy to digital health literacy and explores how medical secretarial curricula should be integrated into this transformation. Furthermore, suggestions are provided to enhance professional competencies, ensure efficiency in patient services, and facilitate adaptation to digital transformation.
