Synopsis
This study analyses the effects of digitalisation and artificial intelligence technologies on educational administration from the perspective of techno-optimism.The traditional understanding of education management is being replaced by flexible and individualised artificial intelligence-supported systems that prioritise data-based decision-making processes.Smart education management transforms student performance monitoring, teacher evaluation processes and institutional decision-making mechanisms through big data, cloud computing and learning management systems. Techno-optimism, defined as a positive attitude towards technological developments in education, is a key concept in this paradigm. However, it is crucial to recognise the potential risks associated with this transition, including concerns regarding data security, the digital divide, ethical considerations, and the overshadowing of the human element. The study underscores the necessity for the development of a human-centred and sustainable digital education policy, emphasising the importance of strategies that support educational administrators in adapting to the digitalisation process. The study further contends that AI-supported management systems should be structured in a manner that fosters inclusivity in education. In conclusion, the notion of smart education management signifies a multifaceted transformation, necessitating the integration of technological opportunities with ethical, pedagogical and managerial dimensions. To ensure the realization of this transformation in a manner that is both healthy and sustainable, education policies must be shaped with a holistic and human-oriented approach.
