Management in the Age of Digital Transformation: Human, Technology and Organization.
Synopsis
The radical changes created by digital transformation in the management discipline are analyzed within the scope of the study. Traditional management models are inadequate in the face of increasing data volume, complexity of business processes and dynamic market conditions. Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data close this gap and highlight new paradigms such as data-based decision-making, automation and flexible strategic adaptation.
AI revolutionizes decision-making processes with real-time data analytics and machine learning algorithms. For example, fraud detection in the financial sector or dynamic pricing systems in retail prove the strategic and operational effectiveness of AI. Big data provides critical insights in areas such as supply chain optimization and customer behavior predictions. While operational efficiency is increased with robotic process automation (RPA), human-machine collaboration offers innovative solutions in creativity and error reduction.
While personalization in customer experience is transformed with AI-based recommendation systems (Netflix, Amazon), human resources management is reshaped with analytical evaluation of talent pools and hybrid working models. However, this transformation also brings with it challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and ethical dilemmas. Regulations such as GDPR and KVKK emphasize the need for transparent and fair systems. Case studies from the healthcare, finance, and retail sectors demonstrate the tangible benefits of AI and big data. In the future, “augmented intelligence” and sustainable technology applications will come to the fore. Data literacy, adaptive leadership, and ethical standards for leaders are key to this paradigm shift. As a result, AI and big data are redefining not only operational efficiency but also competitive advantage.
