Synopsis
Cognitive flexibility is a concept that is closely related to the ability of individuals to quickly adapt to new situations and challenges. Cognitive flexibility in sports stands out as an important psychological feature that improves athletes' adaptability, decision-making and problem-solving skills in the face of dynamic and stressful environments. It can be said that this concept plays an important role, especially in environments of variability and uncertainty that are frequently encountered in sports. As a result of this section, which was carried out in order to evaluate the concept of cognitive flexibility in sports; It can be said that cognitive flexibility is an important factor that positively affects athletes' performance, stress coping skills, empathic tendencies and overall mental well-being. Based on the results obtained in the studies carried out by the researchers; It can be stated that cognitive flexibility is a critical skill that increases the success of athletes in both individual and team sports and improves their mental health.
