Synopsis

In today's digitalized world, electronic commerce (e-commerce) is profoundly transforming the concept of trade. By eliminating geographical barriers, e-commerce offers consumers easy access to products and information. Simultaneously, the integration of sensory marketing strategies into e-commerce is becoming increasingly significant for enriching consumer experiences and gaining a competitive edge. Sensory marketing comprises strategies that activate the five senses to establish emotional connections between consumers and brands. While senses like vision, touch, and smell play a key role in traditional retail, visual and auditory elements dominate in the online environment. Colors, high-quality product visuals, 3D imaging, and augmented reality (AR) technologies positively influence consumer perception, while auditory elements like background music extend the shopping process. One of e-commerce’s greatest advantages is its ability to provide personalized shopping experiences. Additionally, technologies like augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) bring online shopping closer to a physical experience. These elements play a critical role in enhancing consumer trust and satisfaction, ultimately fostering brand loyalty. In conclusion, the integration of e-commerce and sensory marketing expands the boundaries of online shopping and makes the user experience more engaging.
