Synopsis
The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between motivation and performance in sports organizations based on the concept and scope of motivation. For this purpose, by making a literature review on motivation and performance; detailed information about motivation types, tools, theories, performance types and factors affecting performance has been compiled. As a result, it was determined that there was a positive relationship between the motivation and performance of the employees in sports organizations and this issue should be handled by the organization management. Also the management should provide training to improve the skills of the employees in order to increase motivation and performance, and most importantly they should manage their employees with a good management approach meeting their needs providing sufficient resources and a good working environment. It is possible to say that organizations that can provide these opportunities can have individuals working with higher performance, and thus, have the opportunity to turn into a well-established enterprise with higher value and prestige.
