Synopsis

Acute injuries can range from traumatic events in muscles and joints to sudden cardiac deaths, while chronic injuries can cause disorders from nutritional deficiencies to metabolic problems, as well as long-term, repeated overuse disorders that are responsible for the entire musculoskeletal system. As a result of ACL rupture, which is commonly seen in individuals who play team sports, ACL reconstruction is required to return to the field. The increase in ACL injury cases due to the increasing interest in sports in children and the young population has become a situation that should be considered in the active population. In addition to this, it has been revealed that ACL injuries cause meniscus tears in over 60% of patients. In addition to the fact that physical activity specialists or coaches should keep their athletes' readiness levels high, they should know that changes in direction are one of the main causes of ACL injuries.
