Synopsis

Psychological well-being is a fundamental component for enhancing both athletes' physical performance and overall quality of life. This concept aims to support individuals' mental health, motivation, and social relationships. Education plays a critical role in developing psychological well-being by addressing individuals' core psychological needs. In sports settings, fulfilling these needs helps strengthen athletes' motivation and prevent negative conditions such as emotional burnout and anxiety. Education includes various strategies to support both athletes and coaches in improving psychological well-being and performance. Training programs for athletes focus on developing mental resilience, stress management, and motivational skills, while programs for coaches aim to enhance their understanding of athletes' psychological needs. Approaches such as autonomy-supportive coaching can increase athletes' psychological well-being and commitment.

In this context, the interaction between sports and education enables individuals not only to improve their physical skills but also to enhance their mental and emotional health, fostering more sustainable success in sports environments.
