Synopsis
In this study, the necessary information was obtained by scanning the literature on chronic heart disease, vascular insufficiency and exercise in individuals with Down syndrome. The research content includes the introduction section, chronic diseases in individuals with Down syndrome, cardiovascular diseases in individuals with Down syndrome, the role of exercise in chronic diseases in individuals with Down syndrome, exercise in chronic cardiovascular failure in individuals with Down syndrome, things to consider when exercising in individuals with Down syndrome who have chronic heart problems. (under this heading, individualized exercise program, low-medium intensity exercise, warm-up should be done before and after exercise, breathing control and exercise increase, heart rate monitoring, dehydration and overheating and fluid consumption, attention to signs of pain and discomfort, and the importance of psychological state and motivation) are discussed. As a result of the study, it was concluded that adapted regular exercise programs for chronic heart and vascular failure in individuals with Down syndrome are very important for individuals with Down syndrome to both be healthy and live a longer life.
