This study explores the approaches of football teams towards the crypto currency world, conducting a comprehensive literature review to analyse the interaction between the sports industry and the digital economy of crypto currency. The study methodically examines the impact of crypto currency technologies and block chain applications on the financial structures, fan interaction and brand values of football clubs. In recent years, crypto currency technologies have enabled sports clubs to diversify their methods of generating financial resources. Fan token applications, for instance, offer a novel means of investment for fans, facilitating a deeper connection with their clubs, facilitating participation in special events, and enabling direct involvement in decision-making processes. The integration of numerous football clubs worldwide, including those in Turkey, into crypto currency systems has been demonstrated to foster enhanced fan loyalty and bolster their international market presence. The study demonstrates that the utilisation of crypto currencies in the football industry transcends the financial dimension, underscoring their pivotal role in achieving the transparency, reliability, accessibility and sustainability objectives of clubs. In this regard, the affirmative stance adopted by football teams towards the crypto realm signifies the dawn of a novel epoch in the sports industry. This comprehensive literature review reveals a significant development in the relationship between crypto currency and football, strengthening the bond between fans and clubs, paving the way for the construction of a more participatory and digital ecosystem, and increasing fan tokens and money inflow to the crypto world.
