Synopsis

Although the history of information visuals dates back to ancient times, the complexity and abundance of information with the globalizing social structure, as well as the transformation of information with the benefits of the information age, has led to the widespread use of information graphics. Information graphics convey complex and dense information to the audience in a clear and simple language with visual aids and narratives. Illustration is the most common technique used in information graphics. The reason for this is the ability to express information graphics in a more understandable and creative language. This research aims to address the place and use of illustration in information graphics by discussing information graphics and the methods used in information graphics. The types and techniques of illustration in information graphics were also included and the study was supported with sample visuals. The importance of the narrative language and aesthetic effect of the illustrations used in information graphics is presented with the research.
