Synopsis

In this section of the book, the concept of workplace incivility is discussed, and the definition, emergence, characteristics, causes and consequences of this negative behavior are presented in detail. This section, which was written as a result of the research conducted with the literature review method, aims to reveal the various dimensions of workplace incivility and its impact on the work environment. In this section of the book, issues such as the relationship between workplace incivility and other negative behaviors, incivility processes and the spiral of incivility are also examined. The section also includes what can be done to prevent workplace incivility and reduce the negative effects of this negative behavior on work efficiency and employee satisfaction. In the light of the information provided, it is emphasized that the concept of workplace incivility is an important issue to be emphasized, that its causes and consequences should be known, and that proactive approaches, training programs and open communication are important in preventing workplace incivility. The findings provide practical suggestions that can be applied to create a healthier and more productive work environment in workplaces. The methodology of the study is based on a comprehensive review and analysis of the existing literature.
