Synopsis
Monetary policy can be generally defined as the policies implemented by the central bank to ensure price stability and control of the money supply. The monetary policy implemented varies according to both the conditions of the country and the world conjuncture and the policies adopted by the ruling party. In order to achieve the desired results and success in these implemented policies, it is important to determine the objectives correctly and use the tools implemented to achieve these objectives correctly. Therefore, central banks, the implementers of monetary policies, have important duties and responsibilities. In the study, brief information was given about the objectives and tools of monetary policy. Then, the monetary policies implemented since the foundation of the Republic of Türkiye were examined by dividing them into various periods.
