Synopsis

The use of renewable energy sources has gained significant importance today due to the limited resources and environmental costs of fossil fuels. This study examines the potential of Türkiye’s renewable energy resources such as solar, hydro, wind, bioenergy, geothermal and wave energy and analyzes their contribution to Türkiye’s future energy consumption. It provides an overview of Türkiye’s energy resources, assesses the current situation and draws attention to the importance of raising public awareness in promoting renewable energy. The study emphasizes that Türkiye should accelerate the transition to renewable energy in line with the goals of ensuring the sustainability of its energy policies and reducing emissions.
