Synopsis
From a multidisciplinary perspective in the literature, the concept of globalization can be defined as the process through which countries and cultures integrate around commo values, facilitated by the free movement of goods, labor, capital, and ideas on a global scale. The phenomenon of globalization has led to a significant intensification of political, cultural, and economic interactions among nations. Furthermore, advancements in communication and transportation technologies have propelled globalization to unprecedented levels. In addition to these technological developments, pivotal historical events such as the Conquest of Constantinople, the Industrial Revolution, and the dissolution of the Soviet Union have also played a transformative role in shaping the trajectory of globalization. Given its historical legacy and strategic geopolitical location, Türkiye has been profoundly influenced by the multifaceted dynamics of globalization. This study aims to examine the political, social, and, more specifically, economic dimensions of Türkiye's engagement with the globalization process.
