Synopsis

Developments in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are driving profound transformations in education. The growing presence of AI necessitates the redefinition of traditional teaching and learning methods within educational environments and impacts the roles of educators and the structure of educational institutions. The integration of AI into education presents both opportunities and challenges. On one hand, AI has the potential to significantly enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of education by serving as a powerful tool for teachers. On the other hand, the automation of certain tasks and responsibilities raises concerns about job security for educators. Furthermore, the emergence of new roles, such as AI experts, data analysts, and technology integrators, requires educators to acquire new knowledge, skills, and competencies.

This study aims to investigate the critical competencies necessary for educators and managers in an AI-integrated environment and to examine the importance of technical proficiency, adaptability, and commitment to lifelong learning. Additionally, it seeks to evaluate the ethical issues associated with AI in education, such as potential job losses, equity and access concerns, and data privacy and security. The study will also explore the need to develop new policies and training frameworks to equip both current and future educators with the essential knowledge and skills to adapt to these evolving conditions. In summary, this study aims to provide a comprehensive overview of AI's impact on education, its implications for employment, and the steps required to prepare for these changes.
