Synopsis

The concept of management includes many functions within itself. It aims to reach predetermined goals together with others. It requires the existence of a system, a set of rules, cooperation and teamwork. Although their structures vary, a type of bureaucratic organization and hierarchical structure is also needed. There is a need for certainty down to the definitions of statuses, positions, duties and titles of those who will do them. These are very important issues for the general management discipline. Public administration in particular also includes such components. Throughout history, there have always been goals to create an effective public administration. There are theoretical substructures. There are also gains obtained in practice. Therefore, the public administration discipline has been formed. Among its functions are processes such as planning, organization, direction, coordination and control. Despite different perspectives; steps have been taken towards becoming a science, profession and art. This study has been prepared in general terms for the public administration discipline and future perspective. In particular, it is aimed to evaluate our country. The study consists of three separate sections. First, the concept and scope of public administration are discussed. The second title is about the historical course of the Turkish public administration discipline. The last section is about the future perspective of the Turkish public administration discipline. Here, a general evaluation is also made and a future perspective is created. The study is completed with conclusions and suggestions.
