Synopsis

Climatic problems have become more and more important day by day. As our environment is damaged by climate change, people have started to feel the negative effects of this situation more. It can even be said that these negative effects are beginning to jeopardise people's lives. In the face of this situation, states and individuals started to realise the danger and started to take serious steps to take importance. One of the elements that are disturbed by the situation in order to take these measures is entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs see environmental degradation as a threat and do not hesitate to take steps to prevent it. They also see it as an opportunity. Entrepreneurs who have ideas focused on environmental problems are people who have the potential to make positive change. These entrepreneurs do not see environmental disruption as an barrier, but see it as an opportunity. With this perspective, they produce innovative business ideas that can contribute to the environment as well as generate high economic gains. In this respect, the climate crisis drives entrepreneurs to search for different ways for a more sustainable environment. In this context, in this chapter, where we aim to address the fight against the climate crisis from the entrepreneurial perspective, our aim is to explain the general definitions of entrepreneurship that focus on environmental issues, to shed light on future entrepreneurs by examining today's exemplary entrepreneurial ideas and to try to reveal today's opportunities for entrepreneurs.
