Climate Perspectives for a Sustainable Future.
Synopsis
Climate change deeply affects environmental and social events not only in our country but also all over the world. One of these effects is seen as an increase in floods and inundations. The rise in global temperatures and the increase in greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere significantly change weather conditions and the water cycle. In addition, the increased amount of precipitation increases the risk of floods and inundations by triggering intense and sudden precipitation events. In addition, the melting of glaciers and the rise in sea levels also increase the risk of floods. This article examines the effects of climate change on floods and inundations in detail. The increase in floods and inundations draws attention to the social and environmental effects of these events and the possible scenarios of such events in the future. Research is an important requirement to better understand the effects of climate change on floods and to develop effective solutions.
