Climate change is one of the most pressing global issues today, characterized by increasing greenhouse gas emissions, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, and more frequent extreme weather events. Addressing these challenges requires the development of sustainable and innovative solutions. Artificial intelligence (AI)-supported recycling systems contribute significantly to environmental sustainability and serve as an effective tool in combating climate change. Recycling plays a critical role in conserving natural resources and saving energy, yet traditional methods often fall short in efficiency. AI technologies revolutionize the processes of waste classification, sorting, and processing, offering groundbreaking improvements. This article examines the current applications and future potential of AI-supported recycling systems, evaluating their contributions and possible areas for enhancement. By doing so, it aims to provide recommendations for developing strategies that promote environmental sustainability and adopt innovative approaches to fight climate change.
