Synopsis
This research aims to examine the role of psychological safety in enhancing employee well-being in management sciences within a theoretical framework. Psychological safety is defined as an atmosphere that makes individuals feel safe to express themselves, make mistakes and give feedback in the work environment. Employee well-being, on the other hand, is considered as a situation in which individuals' physical, mental and emotional health is integrated with job satisfaction, motivation and commitment. In this context, the aim of this study is to analyze the concepts of psychological safety and employee well-being theoretically and to examine the relationships between these two elements on the basis of the literature. The study examines how psychological safety is shaped within the framework of theories and models and the theoretical effects of this perception of safety on employee well-being. The theoretical analyses in the study support the assumptions that psychological safety encourages employees' innovative behaviors, reduces job stress and burnout, and increases job satisfaction and commitment. In this study, the possible effects of providing psychological safety on employee well-being were examined by addressing the existing studies in the literature in a theoretical framework. With the results of this theoretical analysis, it is aimed to reveal how strategies to increase psychological safety in work environments have the potential to improve employee well-being. As a result of the research, it is aimed to contribute to the literature by providing recommendations for management and human resources practices.
