Synopsis

The successful continuation of activities of organizations that cover all areas of social life is of closly nterest to all stakeholders. For this reason, research has been conducted on organization and management since the beginning of the 20th century. The Traditional Management Approach, which was first developed for the management of organizations, was inadequate to solve many problems that arose in later years. However, despite its shortcomings and intense criticism, it is still being implemented in many organizations today.

Standard Working Hours practices, which were shaped according to the production methods developed after the First Industrial Revolution, are still widely used. Despite the flexible working practices that have emerged due to the developments in working life, the vast majority of employees still work standard hours. However, standard working practices cause problems such as monotony and dissatisfaction among employees.

Organizations that do not give the necessary importance to the human element have no chance of success today. For this purpose, research is conducted and new applications are put into practice in accordance with the wishes and qualifications of the employee. Employee commitment is one of the prominent concepts in this sense and has an impact on many behaviors such as job satisfaction, performance and productivity. However, it is not easy to achieve and maintain the desired level of commitment in the business world, where many individual, organizational and environmental dynamics change. For this purpose, organizations must make more efforts with consciousness and dedication.
