Synopsis

In this space age, people's race with technology has reached dizzying levels and imagination and goals have started to change dimension. People can now easily access the things they need. As technology is renewed, it becomes stronger, new technology becomes powerful and expensive, while older generations become cheaper and more easily accessible. With the introduction of new applications to the markets every day, it is getting harder to gain an advantage in the competitive race. E-leadership is a new approach based on managing technology effectively and following and using new information and communication technologies, as well as managing and directing employees by using market information and networks.

Apart from physical production areas, there is not much need for traditional office environments for predominantly white-collar employees, and telecommuting or working from home is becoming widespread as it is a comfortable working environment for employees and provides cost savings for businesses. With the transformation of globalization into a one-world understanding, it has become natural to see individuals living in overseas and overseas countries working in the same business. Country borders are no longer necessary to find skilled human resources. Leaders are also experiencing the pleasant but difficult moments of managing their members, whom they will perhaps never meet face to face. Because managing both information and skilled employees in virtual environments requires certain skills.

Leaders in businesses that prefer to work in virtual environments should have similar but different qualities to traditional leaders. These qualities are shaped by today's technological possibilities, and it is expected that there will be changes and new requirements will emerge in the future. As a dynamic approach, e-leadership stands out with some of its features and may face some challenges in terms of remote management. In order to increase the effectiveness of e-leaders, they will need to prioritize trust, communication and interaction as the most important elements, as well as other traditional leadership responsibilities such as motivation, performance, rewards and decision-making.

New e-leaders will embrace and utilize technology for potential performance gains, and will strive to achieve their goals through successful interaction with all followers, while integrating information and communication skills and market knowledge.
